Boeing

In March of 2002, The Insitu Group entered into an agreement with The Boeing Company to develop a next generation UAV prototype based upon Insitu's SeaScan. The resulting ScanEagle has a
significantly increased endurance and more sophisticated autonomous flight capabilities. Through our partnership with Boeing, ScanEagle is now a significant contributor to Operation Iraqi Freedom, conducting reconnaissance and contributing to troop security with a new anti-sniper technology. ScanEagle is also becoming a known shipboard contributor for various sea and land based missions.

Boeing Australia Limited (BAL)

Boeing Australia Limited first contracted with Insitu in January of 2007 to give the Australian Army access to the ScanEagle technology that is redefining modern warfare. By April 2007, the Australian Army had already logged 1,000 hours with ScanEagle and they continue to increase their operation.

Evergreen

Evergreen Helicopters, an Evergreen Aviation International company based in McMinneville, OR, is Insitu's newest partner. Evergreen is a civilian company interested in providing aviation solutions to environmental problems. The Insitu developed Insight is equipped to do everything from scan for mammal life in potential oil drilling areas of the Alaskan wilderness to monitor forest fires. Evergreen and Insitu are working together and with the University of Alaska to test the plane and ensure the safety of flying it in domestic airspace, pending a change in FAA regulations.

Fugro

Fugro Airborne Surveys specializes in low level remote sensing technologies that collect, process, and interpret airborne geophysical data related to the subsurface of the earth and the seabed. The data and map products produced have been an essential element of exploration programs for the mining and oil & gas industries for over 50 years. Engineers, scientists and others with a need to map the earth's subsurface geology use Fugro Airborne Surveys for environmental and engineering solutions. From mapping kimberlite pipes and oil and gas deposits to detecting water tables and unexploded ordnance, Fugro Airborne Surveys designs systems dedicated to specific targets and survey needs. Insitu has partnered exclusively with Fugro to develop and produce GeoRanger, an autonomous UAV with magnetometer sensors for long endurance airborne surveys.

Hood Tech

Hood Technologies is located in Hood River, Oregon and partners with Insitu to design, develop and fabricate electro-optical camera and catapult-launching systems. In addition to camera and launch systems, Hood Technologies provides technical and analytical support for advanced system and component development.

Sonex Research

Sonex Research, Inc. is a small business located in Annapolis, Maryland.  Sonex has developed a patented proprietary technology known as the Sonex Combustion System (SCS).  The SCS increases fuel mileage of gasoline engines and reduces emissions of greenhouse gases, while enabling gasoline engines to run on safer diesel-type “heavy fuels.”  These fuels are required in military operations and preferred in commercial applications that demand light weight with safe handling and storage of fuel, such as in unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).  In November 2006 Sonex signed an exclusive license agreement with Insitu for the SCS HFE technology applicable to small UAVs.
